CULTURAL NIGHTS

NIGHTS OF MULTICULTURAL UNDERSTANDING AND COMMUNITY
Cultural nights are always a bliss. The various members of our community that come from as many as 15 different countries lead us into explorarions of music, dance, history, geography and food of their respective countries.The events are an outstanding opportunity to develop a sense of community with folks from different backgrounds.

This year we "visited" Brazil, Caribbean, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ghana, Ethiopia, and more. We learned steps of Samba, participated in a coffee ceremony from Ethiopia; we danced Ghanaian traditions; we learned of the history and conflicts between Managua and Granada; we indeed learned of and from each other. The various foods, dances, cultural artifacts and so much more taught us of our diversity and of the joy of having each other. Indeed this is a multicultural community serving a multicultural neighborhood.
